SWEET DREAMS ARE MADE OF THESE...

What We Do

Thanks to

We are Ruby and Adam, two writers who started having crazy intense dreams during the Covid-19 lockdown. Turns out, so was everyone else.

Whilst discussing prophetic dreams, literature, and the occult, author Gary Lachman encouraged Ruby to start writing a dream journal (Listen to her podcast BURST to hear the full story on that one, it gets pretty crazy). The dreams took an intense turn as the world slipped into a pandemic, and she began to wonder... were the dreams being affected by the pandemic too?

Fever dreams.

How far did it go? Was everyone experiencing this?

She reached out to author Adam Attley, and the pair began their collaboration from other ends of the country over Zoom. Which is like, so 2020. They began to archive and create new narratives from their homes in London and Cornwall, creating the Fever Dream Journal.

We are recording people's dreams during the time of coronavirus and creating pieces of original writing based on the themes and images that come out of the world's collected dreams. A real journal and a fictional one, side by side.

Thanks to Laura Jordan-Bambach who always let me read her dreams, all the dreamers who contributed, Gary Lachman, Harry Pearce -for suggesting an exploration of shared group dreams, the seed of this project- and finally to photographers Alex Motoc, Mark Claus, Dan Burton, Christophe Hautier, Yusuf Evli, Kalegin Michail, Sander Dewerte, Krista Mangolsone and NeONBRAND on Unsplash for the photography used on this site.
